The 5/4/3/2 thread Elna 845 overlock does so more than just finish seams. The Elna 845 overlock has been designed with today's sewers in mind - easy to use, fast to thread with many stitch variations.
You have a choice of a wide range of built-in stitches. The Elna 845 also have a New feature - the Top Cover-Stitch!

20 BUILT-IN SEWING PROGRAMS
Choose from 20 different programs that include three new top cover hem and three cover hem variations (5mm 2.5mm or triple), chainstitch, safety 4 thread, 3 thread, flatlock, narrow hem, rolled hem, etc. The large variety of stitches can be either functional or decorative. There is a stitch for every occasion and fabric!
 

 

5 THREAD
For stable and durable finished seams - the industry standard.

TOP COVER HEM
This special stitch is for hemming stretch fabrics and for decorative effects. Three different widths (triple, wide and narrow).

  

BLANKET STITCH
Attractively edge finish a single layer of fabric - a blanket or felted scarf, for example.

STRETCH KNITS
Great for seams that need to move with your body without breaking or losing their original shape. A swimsuit - for example

PROGRAM DISPLAY PANEL
Elna introduced the concept of presenting the stitch information directly on the overlock, almost eliminating
the need for a manual. Situated at eye level, the sewing set information is shown using easy to read symbols.


 
  
TOP COVER DEVICE
The top cover measures 5.0 mm or 2.5 mm in width. It uses two of three needles, top cover :hook and the chain looper to form a cover hem with loops on both the top and bottom side of the fabric. Great for decorative effects!
 

DIFFERENTIAL FEED AND STITCH LENGTH
In plain view! The control dials are located on the front of the machine. The Differential feed prevents fabrics from stretching or can be used to gather and create ruffles. The stitch length can be set between 0.5 and 5.0 mm, depending on your fabric and sewing needs.

 


 

CUTTING WIDTH
The outside dial allows easy access to adjust how wide the distance between the needle and where the blades cut. The "N" position is the standard setting for move overlock stitches.


STITCH WIDTH FINGER LEVER
No need to change plates when sewing a marrow or rolled hem. The lever controls whether the stitch width finger is retracted away from the needle plate or not. Just flip the lever up or down without opening any covers! Fast and Easy!




 

MOVABLE CUTTING BLADE
Sew with the movable cutting blade in the up or down position. In addition, you can lock the blade into place to handle touch cutting jobs like denim or multiple fabric layers.

 

TWO THREAD CONVERTER
The converter is always attached to the upper looper so it cannot be accidentally lost. When you want to sew a two thread overcast stitch, simply lower it into the looper eye. The two thread capability give you the option to use only two threads for a rolled hem or flatlock.

The most frequesntly used accessories and tools are stored in the frton cover for easy access! - Our most convenienct storage system yet!

 
EASY THREADING
A color-coded threading system is used for fast, easy threading. All thread guides, with exception of three loopers, are open. The Lower looper is self-threading!
